Field Trip Std I to X
July - 2026

The month began by honouring the noble profession of medicine on National Doctor’s Day. Students reflected on the dedication, compassion and selfless service of doctors who work tirelessly to safeguard lives and promote the well-being of society.   The celebration reminded our young learners that service to humanity is one of the noblest forms of achievement.  

 “A doctor’s greatest reward is the smile of a healthy patient.” 

Students of Classes IX and X stepped outside the conventional classroom and embarked on an enriching field trip. The outing encouraged students to connect their academic learning with real-life experiences while developing curiosity, independence, observation and teamwork.    

International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on *21 June* across the world. The day aims to raise awareness about the many physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. The idea of celebrating International Yoga Day was proposed by Narendra Modi at the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, and the first International Yoga Day was observed on 21 June 2015. 

Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India thousands of years ago. It combines physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to promote overall well-being. Regular practice of yoga helps improve flexibility, strength, concentration, and emotional balance. It also reduces stress and encourages a healthy lifestyle. 

On International Yoga Day, people from different countries participate in yoga sessions, workshops, and awareness programs. Schools, colleges, community organizations, and governments organize special events to encourage people to adopt yoga as a part of their daily routine. The theme of Yoga Day changes from year to year, highlighting different aspects of health, wellness, and harmony. The celebration reminds people that yoga is not just a form of exercise but a way of achieving balance between the mind, body, and spirit.In conclusion, International Yoga Day promotes peace, health, and unity among people worldwide. The celebration continued with World Music Day, where students showcased their musical talents through musical performances [Guitar and Violin]. The event highlighted the universal appeal of music and its ability to inspire creativity, express emotions, and bring people together. Both celebrations provided students with meaningful experiences that promoted wellness, self-expression, and holistic development. 

Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture Ceremony of Maruthi Vidyalaya Higher Primary School was celebrated with great pride, dignity, and enthusiasm on 17th June 2026 at the school grounds. The occasion marked the formal induction of the newly elected student leaders, entrusting them with the responsibility of upholding the values and traditions of the institution. Smt. Anandalakshmi, Headmistress; and Smt. Parimala Krishnamurthi, Principal, CISCE Wing, along with members of the teaching and Physical Education faculty. 

The ceremony was conducted under the blessings of Smt. Saroja Ganesh, Secretary, and Sri Ganesh Battu Ganesh Sharma, President. The distinguished Chief Guest for the occasion was Yogi Sri Vardhaman, renowned Yoga Guru and recipient of the prestigious Kempegowda Award. The event was graced by Smt. Kokila P. G., Principal, Maruthi Vidyalaya CBSE Wing; Smt. Manju, Vice Principal; In a solemn and inspiring ceremony, the newly elected Junior and Senior Student Council members were conferred with badges, sashes, and flags by the dignitaries. Smt. Kokila P. G. administered the oath of office, wherein the young leaders pledged to discharge their duties with sincerity, integrity, and dedication. 

The school pledge, led by the Head Boy, reaffirmed the students’ commitment to the ideals and values of Maruthi Vidyalaya. A well-coordinated and disciplined march-past by the student leaders added splendour to the occasion and earned appreciation from the gathering. The dignitaries received the salute with pride, acknowledging the confidence and discipline displayed by the students. Addressing the assembly, Yogi Sri Vardhaman inspired the students with his motivating words on leadership, self-discipline, service, and responsibility. He encouraged the young leaders to lead by example and contribute positively to society. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, staff, and students for making the event a grand success. The Investiture Ceremony served as a significant milestone in nurturing leadership qualities and fostering a sense of responsibility among the young torchbearers of Maruthi Vidyalaya 

Founder's Day Celebration

Maruthi Vidyalaya EHPS celebrated Founder's Day on 15th June 2026 with great reverence and gratitude. The occasion was dedicated to honouring the vision, dedication, and invaluable contributions of our esteemed founder, Smt. Saroja Ganesh, whose commitment to education continues to inspire generations of learners.

The celebration began with floral tributes and a special assembly, followed by speeches highlighting the founder's ideals and the institution's journey. The entire staff of all the three wings [State, CICSE and CBSE]participated enthusiastically in cultural programs, expressing their appreciation for the values and legacy that form the foundation of our school. The event served as a reminder of our commitment to uphold the principles of excellence, discipline, and service envisioned by our founder. The student prepared colourful Birthday greeting cards.  

World Day Against Child Labour

Maruthi Vidyalaya EHPS conducted its Students’ Leadership Election on 6th June 2026, providing students with a valuable opportunity to experience the democratic process firsthand. Elections were held to select the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Sports Captains, Yoga Captains, and Scouts and Guides Captains, with all candidates contesting from Class X. 

Students from Classes V to X actively participated in the voting process. The election was conducted in a systematic and transparent manner, with ballot boxes and indelible ink used to replicate an authentic electoral experience. Students cast their votes responsibly, demonstrating enthusiasm, fairness, and civic awareness. 

The event not only encouraged leadership qualities among students but also helped them understand the importance of democracy, responsibility, and informed decision-making. The successful conduct of the election reflected the school's commitment to nurturing future leaders and responsible citizens.   

World Environment Day Celebration – Kindergarten

On 12th June 2026, the Kindergarten students enthusiastically celebrated World Environment Day with engaging and meaningful activities that helped them understand the importance of caring for our planet.

The young learners participated in a colouring worksheet activity, where they creatively illustrated themes related to nature, trees, and environmental conservation. Through vibrant colours and thoughtful discussions, the children learned simple ways to protect and preserve the environment.

As part of the celebration, the students also enjoyed a Nature Walk around the school campus. During the walk, they observed different plants, trees, flowers, and insects, fostering a deeper appreciation for the beauty of nature. Teachers guided the children to notice the importance of greenery and encouraged them to develop environmentally friendly habits.   

Fun-Filled Ball Activity for Kindergarten

A lively and engaging Ball Activity was conducted for the Kindergarten students to promote physical development, coordination, and teamwork in a fun-filled environment. The young learners participated enthusiastically in a variety of ball-based games and activities designed to enhance their motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

The children enjoyed rolling, throwing, catching, and passing the balls, which helped them develop balance, concentration, and confidence. The colorful balls and interactive games created an atmosphere of excitement and joy, encouraging active participation from every child.

The activity also provided opportunities for social interaction, cooperation, and learning through play. The bright smiles and energetic involvement of the students made the event a memorable experience for all.

The Ball Activity successfully combined learning with fun, reinforcing the importance of physical fitness and active play in the early years of education.  

Kindergarten Re-opening Day & Welcome Activity

The new academic year for Kindergarten commenced with great enthusiasm and excitement as the little learners returned to school, ready to embark on a joyful learning journey. The reopening day marked a warm and cheerful beginning, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both new and returning students.

To make the occasion special, a Welcome Day Take-Home Activity was organized for the children. The activity was thoughtfully designed to encourage creativity and a sense of belonging.

The school extends a warm welcome to all Kindergarten students and looks forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, and countless achievements. 

Orientation Progam for Kindergarten Parents

The school conducted an Orientation Program for the parents of newly admitted Kindergarten students at the Subbalakshmi Iyer Memorial Hall. The program was organized to warmly welcome parents into the school community and provide them with an insight into the school’s vision, values, curriculum, and learning environment.

The session commenced with a cordial welcome, followed by an introduction to the academic framework and teaching methodologies adopted in Kindergarten. Parents were acquainted with the school’s child-centric approach, daily routines, co-curricular activities, and various initiatives designed to support the holistic development of young learners.

 Nurturing Nature, Building a Greener Future

Maruthi Vidyalaya EHPS celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to environmental conservation. A special assembly was conducted to create awareness about the importance of protecting nature and adopting sustainable practices. Through informative presentations and inspiring messages, students highlighted the need to preserve the environment for future generations. 

As part of the celebration, a tree plantation drive was organized on the school campus. The event witnessed active participation from students, the Principal- Smt. Kokila P.G, Vice Principal- Smt. Manju M, Headmistress- Smt. Anandalakshmi, drivers, and support staff, who came together to plant saplings and contribute towards a greener environment. 

The programme served as a meaningful reminder that every individual has a role to play in protecting the planet. The celebration inspired students to become responsible environmental stewards and reaffirmed the school's commitment to fostering environmental awareness and sustainable living.   

Orientation Programme for Parents

Maruthi Vidyalaya EHPS successfully conducted an Orientation Programme for Parents at the beginning of the academic year, fostering a strong partnership between the school and families. The programme was led by the Principal, Mrs. Kokila P.G., who warmly welcomed the parents and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in nurturing students' academic excellence and holistic development. 

During the session, Mrs. Kokila P.G. introduced the school's vision, values, and educational goals for the year. She highlighted the school's commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive. Parents were also briefed on the academic curriculum, co-curricular activities, assessment patterns, school policies, and the various initiatives planned for the students' overall growth. 

The Principal encouraged parents to actively participate in their children's learning journey and maintain regular communication with teachers. She stressed that a strong home-school partnership plays a vital role in shaping confident, responsible, and successful learners. The programme provided an excellent platform for parents to understand the school's expectations and clarify their queries. The interactive session was well received, and parents appreciated the school's efforts in creating a positive and supportive educational environment. 

The Orientation Programme concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the shared commitment of parents and educators towards the holistic development and success of every child at Maruthi Vidyalaya EHPS.   

An Auspicious Beginning- Ganesh Puja and Reopening of Class X

Maruthi Vidyalaya EHPS commenced the new academic year on an auspicious note with a Ganesh Puja held at the school temple on 18th May 2026, coinciding with the reopening day for the Class X students. Students, teachers, and staff gathered to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of wisdom, knowledge, and success. 

The puja was conducted with great devotion and reverence, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere on campus. As the Class X students embarked on an important academic year, the ceremony served as a meaningful beginning, inspiring them to pursue their goals with dedication and confidence. 

The event reflected the school's commitment to nurturing cultural values and spiritual awareness alongside academic excellence. The programme concluded with the distribution of prasadam, marking a blessed and positive start to the academic year.​  

Orientation Programme for Teachers
18-05-2026 to 22-05-2026

Maruthi Vidyalaya EHPS conducted a five-day Orientation Programme for teachers from 18th May 2026 to 22nd May 2026 to prepare the staff for the new academic year.

The programme included the introduction of new teachers, an inspiring address by the Secretary Ma’am, and meaningful discussions on creating a Happy Classroom and strengthening Student–Teacher Relationships. Teachers shared best classroom practices, discussed challenges faced in classrooms, and participated in various interactive activities that promoted collaboration and teamwork.

Special focus was given to Competency Based Education (CBE), encouraging teachers to adopt learner-centered and skill-based teaching methods. Class allocation for the academic year was also carried out during the programme.

A special session on “Nurturing the Self: Experience Constant Happiness and Beautiful Relationships” was conducted by the Brahma Kumaris organisation, highlighting the importance of emotional well-being and positive relationships.

The orientation programme was informative, engaging, and motivating, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead.
