FIELD TRIP TO PLANETARIUM STD III & IV
July 2024

On 16th July 2024 the students of Standard 3 and 4 embarked on an exciting field trip to the Planetarium. The trip provided a unique opportunity for the students to expand their knowledge about the solar system and space exploration.

The students, accompanied by their teachers, started their journey from the school at 9:15 a.m. They were filled with anticipation and excitement as they boarded the vans. The group reached the Planetarium promptly, eager to begin their educational journey.
The visit was well-scheduled to ensure a smooth and enriching experience for the students. Upon arrival, they were led to the theatre, where they witnessed an immersive show about the solar system. The presentation included detailed explanations and stunning visuals, which captured the students' imaginations.

Additionally, the students watched a segment on the launch of Chandrayaan and Aditya missions. This segment provided insight into India's advancements in space exploration, leaving the students inspired and in awe of the possibilities of space science.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the show and found it both educational and entertaining. They had the opportunity to learn about various celestial bodies, the mechanics of space missions, and the significance of scientific exploration. The interactive nature of the show kept them engaged and inquisitive throughout.

After the show, the students had some free time to play and explore the Planetarium's outdoor area. They played to their hearts' content, enjoying the fresh air and the company of their friends. The students boarded the vans and departed from the Planetarium, arriving back at school at 3:00 p.m. The trip was well-organized, ensuring that the students returned safely and on time.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION
June 2024

International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and participation on June 21, 2024. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Principal and the yoga instructor, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of light and knowledge.

The students of Standard 10 took the lead in welcoming everyone present. They eloquently spoke about the significance of International Yoga Day, emphasizing the importance of yoga in promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Their speeches highlighted how yoga, an ancient practice, has become a global phenomenon, contributing to health and harmony in today’s fast-paced world.

Following the introductory remarks, the event proceeded with the demonstration of various yoga asanas. Students from Nursery to Standard 10 actively participated, performing a wide range of asanas under the guidance of the yoga instructor. The participants demonstrated their flexibility, strength, and coordination, showcasing their dedication to practicing
Throughout the session, the yoga instructor explained the benefits of each asana, educating the students on how these postures positively impact different aspects of their health. This educational component was invaluable, as it provided the students with a deeper understanding of how regular yoga practice can enhance their overall well-being.

The program concluded with sessions of pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATION

The Founders Day Celebration was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy on 15th June 2024. This significant event brought together teachers from state, ICSE, and CBSE wings, who gathered in the school auditorium to commemorate the foundation of our esteemed Institution.

Teachers from different educational boards – state, ICSE, and CBSE came together for this grand occasion, showcasing the unity and collaborative spirit that defines our school community.

The ceremony was marked by expressions of love and affection towards our Secretary. The teachers presented gifts and heartfelt presentations, reflecting their gratitude and appreciation for the Secretary's unwavering dedication and leadership.

The teachers showcased the milestones and achievements of their respective wings through various creative mediums. The presentations included:
Multimedia Presentations : Highlighting significant milestones and
achievements.
Dance Performances: Expressing the joy and cultural richness of our school.
Drama: Depicting the journey and growth of the institution over the
years.

A special segment of the celebration was the recognition and honor bestowed upon our Secretary and President by the school alumni, particularly the batch of 1999. Their presence and acknowledgment added a nostalgic and celebratory touch to the event.

After the program, a delicious lunch was served, allowing everyone to relax, interact, and celebrate the day further. The meal provided an opportunity for teachers, alumni, and dignitaries to share experiences and reminisce about the school's journey.

The event concluded with a heartfelt thanks from the Secretary.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

The Investiture Ceremony, held on the 14th of June 2024, was a significant event in our school's calendar. This ceremony marks the formal installation of the newly elected student leaders and provides them with the responsibility to lead and represent the student body. The event was graced with the blessings of the President and Secretary of the institution, ensuring an auspicious start.

Guests of Honour

The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including:

- The Headmistress
- The Yoga Guru Dhri Vardhaman Kalasuru

The event commenced with the leaders performing a slow march to receive the esteemed guests, creating an atmosphere of solemnity and respect. Following this, the school flag was hoisted, accompanied by a general salute from the assembled students and staff.

A pivotal moment of the ceremony was the handing over of badges, sashes, and flags to the junior and senior leaders. This was done by the dignitaries present, symbolizing the transfer of responsibility and the trust placed in the new leaders.

The Principal administered the oath to the newly appointed leaders, who pledged to uphold the values and principles of the school. This was followed by an impressive display of marching prowess by the students, showcasing their discipline and coordination.

The Yoga Guru Shri Vardhaman Kalasuru also inspired the leaders, by encouraging them to strive for excellence in all their endeavors. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Miss Savithry, the class teacher of standard 10. This gesture acknowledged the efforts of everyone involved in making the event a success and expressed gratitude towards the guests and dignitaries.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION

A Green Initiative

In a commendable effort to instill the importance of environmental conservation among students, our school celebrated Environmental Day with a week-long series of activities culminating on June 5th, 2024. This initiative aimed to promote a plantation drive and foster a sense of responsibility towards nature among the young minds.

Pre-Event Activities

The celebrations began a week in advance, with students engaging in a plantation drive at home. They planted saplings with the help of their family and friends, capturing the joyous moments through selfies. These photos were then shared in the school's online group, creating a buzz and excitement leading up to the main event.

The Main Event

On June 5th, the students brought saplings to school, ready to contribute to the greening of the school premises. A special assembly was held, entirely dedicated to the theme of nature conservation. The assembly featured various presentations and speeches highlighting the importance of preserving our environment.
Activities and Participation

Students from all classes actively participated in various environmentally themed activities throughout the day. These activities were designed to educate them on the value of growing plants and conserving nature. From creating posters to participating in quizzes and discussions, the students showed great enthusiasm and creativity.

The Environmental Oath

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

On 18th May 2024, an orientation program was conducted for the new parents of students from Nursery to Standard 9. The program aimed to familiarize parents with the school's ethos, curriculum, and the various activities planned for the academic year.

Welcome and Introduction

The event commenced with a warm welcome then the Principal, introduced the school's mission and vision and emphasized the importance of a strong partnership between the school and parents to ensure the holistic development of the students.

The Principal, Vice Principal, Head Mistress, coordinators and teachers presented an overview of the curriculum, highlighting the key subjects and learning objectives for each grade level. They explained the teaching methodologies and assessment patterns, The parents had a clear understanding of what their children would be learning and how their progress would be evaluated.

Extracurricular and Co-Curricular Activities

The program also showcased the wide range of extracurricular and co-curricular activities available at the school. Parents were informed about various clubs, sports, arts, and cultural activities designed to foster students' overall growth and development.
